The new year parties. Time to enjoy, thats the buzz word. I hear it, often, now and then, from my peers, a bit older ones, the younger and the youngest ones around. As the age decreases the ruckus is more. The noise, decibel higher by a factor of 2 of the age less than their parents. Its a random formula but might fit the scene.
But this makes me think what is this all enjoyment about? Why? We just need a reason to enjoy, then why not everyday? Just because it will not fit the pocket? or is this a concept of letting the hairs down one fine day. Or as whats know as the right balance of enjoyment and work and life (what ever that means).
It does make a business sense though, and so will lots of people be rich by the time the clock clicks towards the new year. Ah .. talking about money, whats a few ks of bucks for a night of enjoyment in a year.... thats the way it stands. Why do we earn, if not to spend on ourself, and indulge in for a day? Whats wrong in it? .... For those on the other side of the fence, may there be a "day" every day, and the market fathers would be looking to name each day of the year on something or the other, for minting money was never easier, it takes ages to make a culture and then reap money from it. But again I salute the astute judgement of these young business turks, they do read the human mind well, to make them dance to the tune of the modern age. I guess thats what is the outcome of having the great business schools in the Indian panorama.
The solutions are there for the people who have the money, what about those, who are the have nots, why do not these turks look to that side of the face and use their ingenuity to bring up some innovative things to elevate them to the standards of living (well , this is a much abused word) . Catch the market were it is, do not work to create a market where one does not exist. Maybe when the greener pastures exhaust, then will the eyes of these business greats hit the areas where there is less of a juice or no juice at all. But then who cares for socialism or equality, thats a word of the gone era, or till when the under trodden will rise to an uprising and force the fortunate to look down towards their direction. Well history repeats and we do not learn ... So be it.
Coming back to the parties .. well i read a blog .. http://cochinblogger.wordpress.com/2010/12/31/true-tales-of-indian-life-beating-the-breath-analyzer/ (read it to understand the next statement).
It was an eye opener. The common man (an unknown Indian - a breed unique) still has a faith in the Indian women "word". I call that as a word, may be it will be history one day.
But then one does ponder, were are we going to ... But then .. come on wake up .. there are a few parties in the evening. Let me stop here and go and see the enjoyment there ... :)
