I have travelled a lot, seen lot of people; the fact which comes to the fore is that when it comes to treating a fellow Indian with respect, we falter. Time and again I have seen it happen, at times, others treat us better.
As I land again tomorrow, the same story will be repeated. The immigration counters for the foreign nationals would be fully populated, and for the fellow Indians just a couple of counters would be populated. The foreigner would walk into my land in 5 minutes, while it would take me an hour to enter my own country.
When will we change our mindset? When would we learn? When would the officialdom learn to treat the fellow Indian better? Change has to start from the top … sooner the better.
Footnote: This time it was better, there were still the 2 counters, but then this was the only one flight at 9 am in the morning, so i was through in 10 minutes
