Anna Hazare - fast, Lokpal bill and accountability.

Power is a fantastic thing. It changes the way one thinks. It has the potential to change the fabric of the person. Power is authority, it could be monitory, regulatory, religious ... , it can assume any form. The thin line between the use and abuse of it is what  makes the difference.
Power and accountability are two opposites, the more the power, accountability decreases. The thought that sharing of power can bring in accountability, it can but it can be subverted too (examples, Democracy - country, corporate - industry) . It all depends on the intention, and conviction of the person (persons) in the power. Then how does one control the intent? Does corruption (abuse/misuse of power) stem from the intent? Is it ingrained? Or it has become a practice come into fore due to acceptability of it?
The syndrome you pat my back (judiciary), i pat your back (legislature) , and we rule (government aka bureaucrat), is that the practice (governance)? Maybe, thats why it has been 42 years and still, the intent of preventing corruption hasn't  seen the light of the day.
Who bells the cat, when all are hand in glove - Anna Hazare.
