I tried to see god, but i could not see him/her/it .. What is God like? But when i had set out for here, i just knew two things, the nature here was good, and people said there was a temple of God here. So like every other mortal, i set out once more to tread a path which was so common in life.
Having reached here, i saw the raw beauty of the nature. It was remarkable, but with it was also the reality. The abject poverty of indian local masses was visible, or was it the men of God, who lived a different life of hardship? But that left the jarring note in me as always and was thinking again, when will the golden era ursher itself again??
The ruins of old cities reminded me of the era that was, but also of the plunderers, who have just lef the stones to stand, taking away everything worthwhile. The story was told by the mute stones, standing tall but silent. The voice was of the local people, the guides who gave their voices to the stones.
But again as was destined, i ended up feeding many people in this town. Whats called a Raj bhoj and bal bhoj. It was different sort of pleasure of feeding people with naked feet, in the 5 deg of temperatue. The feeling was immense, covering any discomfort that i felt. It took more than two hours, the sea of people was endless and the food finished, but the people did not. Anyways that was a different thing, but for once the local people were very helpful in everything.
After having told the local preist of our intentions a couple of days back, he was very helpful. The day when we were to give food to all, I was accorded the VIP status of having to see God from the near quaters. But as i stood there, i realized i was blocking the view of the many people back behind the rails .. So i just thanked God, and joined back within the ranks of the comman man. I like it here, amongst the commom man ....
So this is my last walk on this beautiful land .. I am all set to drive back to the noises of the city, my destination .. My destiny.. The abode of the lesser mortals.
