The state of affairs

Stimulating an evening further with a hot stimulating brew, smoking the thoughts to the most common factor, "state of affairs"
He: Where has the governance reached now a days?
Me: At the helm of the affairs,it seems they are out to govern everything we do.
He: Logger heads with the people?
Me: We elected them as our representatives, an exemplary lot.
He: That's democracy. For the people before the election, beside the people on the election day, against the people till the next election.
Me: What's media.
He: Our paid watchdog. Persistent, pertinent ever eager, over reactive, self biased? or bought out biased?
Me: What's social media.
He: We barking, over eager, hyper reactive, really self biased and uncontrolled freedom.
Me: So is it democracy? the rule of the social media?
He: We are tweeting, we are fbing, we get up to it, we sleep with it, and so it goes on.
Me: Ah are you meaning that we are slaves to it?
He: Addiction ... We would need lots of TAs and FAs , like the AAs soon.
Me: What's that holding out there, preventing a all out amongst the twitters or the fbingers?
He: Its controlled, because there are no hates, only likes. You can just re-tweet, a tweet.
Me: I think its self regulation at its best?
He: ya, the fear of lots of eyes watching, forcing the self regulation.
Me: What about the independent regulators?
He: We are coming of the age, the two pillars, the people, and the government, at constant logger heads, so for everything, we would need independent regulators.
Me: Independent Election commission, Independent media regulator, Independent sport bodies, Independent Judiciary, Independent  ......  What's the government for?
He:Its Independent Government, by definition, just for itself and not for the people.
Me: Then the best government is the one which doesn’t govern at all.
He: You do have the perfect example today.
